Haematology

The Haematology Department offers all standard haematology tests, such as full blood examination, blood film morphology and coagulation tests. We also offer a number of specialised coagulation tests, such as factor studies and von Willebrand factor studies.

Our haematologists are available for the performance of bone marrow examination and provide advice on all aspects of laboratory haematology. Patient information on bone marrow biopsy is available here.

Additional services to be introduced over time include haemoglobin electrophoresis for haemoglobinopathy and flow cytometry.

For a comprehensive list of tests offered, please refer to Pathology Handbook.

A warfarin dosing service for outpatients is available.
For eligibility criteria and referral form, please go to warfarin dosing service.
The department operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
